In Syria, following the overthrow of the 61-year Baath regime, the national logo of the country has been renewed during the reconstruction process. The new national logo of Syria was introduced to the public at a program held at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Damascus.
ID CARDS AND PASSPORTS WILL BE CHANGED
All symbols, seals, official documents, as well as identity cards and passports belonging to state institutions in Syria will be changed to the new national logo. The new logo features a falcon with 14 feathered wings representing the provinces of Syria. Additionally, the 2 stars on the falcon's shield have been increased to 3.
The 2 wheat ears that symbolized agricultural character in the old national logo have also been removed. On the other hand, the newly introduced national logo was celebrated enthusiastically across the country.
"THE OVERTHROWN REGIME PERIOD IS THE MOST DEGRADING PERIOD"
Syrian President Ahmed Shara stated in his speech at the national logo introduction program, "Anyone who studies history will see that Damascus is the beginning and end of the world's story, and they will understand that what we experienced during the period of the overthrown regime is the most degrading period in the history of Damascus."
"IT REPRESENTS A UNITED SYRIA"
Shara, who said, "The national logo we present today expresses a united Syria that does not accept division and fragmentation," thanked all Syrians who contributed to the construction of the new national logo.
