The notebook of Semanur Arslan (27), an equestrian trainer who lost her life after falling from the 43rd floor of the skyscraper where her friend lived in Ankara, has emerged. Arslan's notes included, "I am safe, I have rid myself of all the bad people around me. I am happy and I have the strength to help everyone in need." Her mother, Elif Karaca, stated, "My daughter would never commit suicide. She was a lively child. My daughter would never take her own life."

Equestrian instructor Semanur Arslan fell from the window of her friend Ferhat D.'s (43) apartment on the 43rd floor of a skyscraper in the Konutkent neighborhood of Çankaya district on the evening of October 20, resulting in her death. Ferhat D. and Ezgi Ö. (31), who were in the apartment, were detained and later released after their statements.

CLAIMED NOT TO KNOW SEMANUR

Ferhat D. claimed that he did not know Semanur Arslan, that they were in another room during the incident, and that they did not see her when they went outside. Ezgi Ö. alleged that Arslan had problems with her boyfriend and was constantly crying. The investigation into Semanur Arslan's death is awaiting the results of the examination of her mobile phone, autopsy, and toxicology reports.

"SHE HAD A DISPUTE WITH HER FRIEND"

Mother Elif Karaca stated that her daughter came home on the day of the incident and that her friend Ezgi Ö. was with her, saying, "They stayed for 10 minutes. She said, 'We are going to Cappadocia, she has a car, I will go with her, mom, I will return tomorrow.' After that, I kept calling, I couldn't reach my daughter. I received the news on Sunday evening. She mentioned her dreams in her notes. She said, 'My mother loves me unconditionally.' Of course, mothers love unconditionally. I want my child, I want my baby. That evening, while she was in that house, she called a taxi. The people in the house gave statements after the incident. Ferhat D. stated, 'They had an argument with my girlfriend Ezgi Ö. Then my girlfriend Ezgi Ö. went to the room and closed the door. I went to comfort her and closed the door. Before I went to the room, I heard the girl calling a taxi. Later, when the sound stopped, we thought she called a taxi and left. We went out of the room. When we came out, all the belongings were in the living room. We went down to the parking lot to search.' Where would my daughter go barefoot? Why would my daughter go down to the parking lot? My daughter doesn't have a car. If my daughter did such a thing, why would she call a taxi to return home?" she said.

"THEY DID NOT ALLOW MY DAUGHTER TO RETURN"

Elif Karaca described her daughter Semanur as full of life, saying, "She would tell me, 'I will create a very beautiful life for you. I will give you a very beautiful future.' That was my daughter. She explained beautifully in her notes, she wrote beautifully. She described her dreams. I don't know what happened. The only thing I know is that I am dying. I want my daughter. She had been a professional equestrian instructor for 8 years. She fell off a horse twice, had accidents, and got injured. I was always afraid of that. I would say, 'Please, my dear, one day you will fall off a horse, something will happen.' I wish she had fallen off a horse. When she last came, they left quickly. She told me, 'Mom, I will return tomorrow.' But she couldn't. They did not allow my daughter to return. My daughter would never commit suicide. She was a lively child. My daughter never committed suicide," she said.
