The opened mosquito net disconnected 2-year-old Metehan from life.

A 2-year-old baby, Metehan G., who lived with his family on the 5th floor of an apartment in the Fatih neighborhood of Edirne, fell to the ground when the window screen was opened. The baby, who fell from a height of approximately 15 meters onto the concrete floor, was seriously injured. After being notified, the health team that arrived at the scene provided first aid to the baby, who was then taken by ambulance to Trakya University Medical Faculty Hospital. Despite all the interventions, the 2-year-old baby could not be saved and lost his life.

GRIEVING MOTHER STRUGGLED TO STAND

Metehan was buried in Yenişehir Cemetery after the funeral prayer held following the noon prayer. During the prayer, father İlkay G. received condolences, while mother Özge G. struggled to stand. The funeral was attended by Edirne Mayor Filiz Gencan Akın and family relatives.

Additionally, it was learned that Metehan's 2nd birthday was celebrated last month.
