The forum page named 'kereste.moe', which was revealed to have posts praising Semih Çelik, the butcher who brutally murdered two young women, and was frequently used by Çelik, has been shut down.
In Istanbul, 19-year-old Semih Çelik brutally murdered Ayşenur Halil in his home and then Iqbal Gürpınar at the Yedikule walls before jumping off the walls to commit suicide. Following the incident that caused outrage, applications, forum pages, and YouTube channels that promote deviant publications were scrutinized. The forum page named Kereste.moe was one of these platforms, where many users expressed that they knew the Wall Killer Semih Çelik and made statements of praise.
'SEMİH, YOU ARE NOT ALONE' POSTS
After the news spread on platform X, numerous posts containing complaints about the page named Kereste.Moe were made. The posts drew attention to chilling shares related to Iqbal Uzuner, whom Semih Çelik murdered, and her family. Furthermore, it was claimed that the Wall Killer Semih Çelik was also a member of this site. A post shared on the site included the phrases 'Semih, you are not alone.'
PAGE WITH SCANDALOUS CONTENT HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN
The forum page, which also contained numerous profane contents, was blocked from access by the decision of the Information Technologies and Communications Authority.
