The fourth session of the trial with 22 defendants regarding the murder of Former Idealist Hearths Education and Culture Foundation President and Hacettepe University Lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan Ateş has been completed. In the afternoon part of the hearing held at the 32nd Heavy Penal Court in the courtroom at Sincan Penitentiary Institutions Campus, the testimony of Sinan Ateş's mother Saniye Ateş, who fell ill while giving her statement in the morning, continued. "I WANT AN EYE FOR AN EYE, BLOOD FOR BLOOD"Sinan Ateş, who asked MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli to find his son's killer, said, "You cannot know how many times my son came with a bulletproof vest. Why is my 38-year-old daughter-in-law walking around with a bulletproof vest? I don't know if I will see the outcome of this trial or not, but whoever has the slightest involvement, may God make them suffer a thousand times worse. I want an eye for an eye, blood for blood." he used the expressions. HE DESCRIBED THE MOMENT OF THE MURDERLater, the injured witness Selman Bozkurt, who was with Ateş during the attack, was heard. Bozkurt, who explained that they left the office in Çukurambar with Ateş's student Ahmet Keçik to go to the mosque, said, "My brother said, 'They started again on social media. They can attack me, be careful around.' When we went to the mosque, he called me by nodding his head and said, 'Take one of these guns, disturb me while I'm praying.' So I took it and put it on my waist." he said. "THE INDIVIDUAL WAS FIRING CONTINUOUSLY"Bozkurt described the moment of the incident with the following words: "The person appeared in a crouched position among the cars and started firing consecutively in front of my brother. The person was firing continuously. I barely took out the gun and went around the other side of the car and fired a few shots into the air. When I saw my brother on the ground in that position, I collapsed on my knees. We were in shock from the incident. Then Ahmet said, 'The gun is loaded, you're injured, give it to me, something might happen.' and took the gun. Then we were taken to the hospital in separate ambulances. I stayed in intensive care for almost a week. He was constantly subjected to threats and insults. He was very distressed because of this situation." ANSWERED THE LAWYERS' QUESTIONSLater, the defendants and their lawyers requested to ask questions to the witness Bozkurt. Bozkurt's lawyer requested the rejection of this request, but the court allowed the questioning of Bozkurt as he was also an eyewitness to the incident. When Doğukan Çep's lawyer Emine Tosun asked, "Did Eray Özyağci shoot below the belt or above the belt?" Bozkurt replied, "The incident happened very quickly. I don't think the person aimed deliberately. He fired consecutively. I didn't see where my brother was shot.". Bozkurt also answered "No, I didn't give such an instruction." to the question of whether he gave the instruction for Ahmet Keçik to take the guns to the office. When asked if the shot that hit Sinan Ateş could have been fired by him, Bozkurt said that such a thing was not possible. The lawyers of the witnesses requested that a letter be written to Apple to examine the locked phones of the defendants Serdar Öktem and Mustafa Ensar Aykal. Ali Yücel, the lawyer of the witness Ayşe Ateş, stated that it was learned that Kerem Gökay Öner, the former Deputy Director of Ankara Public Security Branch, submitted a criminal complaint to the prosecutor's office, stating that the defendant Tolgahan Demirbaş was not arrested on the street but at Olcay Kılavuz's house. Yücel requested the submission of the mentioned criminal complaint and the testimony of Öner. CHP DEPUTY TANAL REMOVED FROM THE COURTROOMWhile the presiding judge stated that today's session of the trial was completed, he was informed that there was a "statement" directed towards him from the plaintiff parties. When CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal stated that he was the person referring to himself, the presiding judge requested Tanal to be removed from the courtroom. Tanal, who was being removed from the courtroom by the officials, responded, "You cannot close the trial and then reopen it. Don't tell me 'Get out', be respectful." The presiding judge said, "Everyone is equal before the law here. Leave your titles outside." The court decided to file a criminal complaint against the individuals who were determined to have made audio and video recordings in the courtroom and against the defendant Doğukan Çep, who was found to have nodded his head towards the plaintiffs. The trial will continue tomorrow.
