ARREST FOR DISRESPECTING THE TURKISH FLAG In a statement from the General Command, it was announced that a person named D.A., who was found to have liked a post on social media showing a Gendarmerie Private in uniform stepping on the Turkish flag, was arrested by the Muş Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams.
LIKED AFTER DISCHARGE In the investigation conducted by the Cyber Department, it was determined that D.A. served his military duty at the Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command and was discharged on October 10, 2025, and that he liked the aforementioned post on October 17, 2025, after his discharge.
PREVIOUSLY PUNISHED FOR HIS POSTS It was reported that D.A. received a 6-day suspension from duty under Article 19 of the Turkish Armed Forces Disciplinary Law No. 6413 due to some social media posts he made during his military service, and his military service was extended.
