Actress Gülşah Çomoğlu, who lost her life while undergoing cancer treatment at the hospital, was laid to rest today. Çomoğlu's husband, mother, and brother were overwhelmed with tears, struggling to stand during the ceremony.
At the edge of hope, Gülşah Çomoğlu, who appeared in series such as Behzat Ç: Bir Ankara Polisiyesi, Yüksek Sosyete, and Kasaba Doktoru, and was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago, passed away yesterday. The actress was bid farewell today with tears.
SHE EMBRACED HER DAUGHTER'S COFFIN AND CRIED
A funeral ceremony was held for Çomoğlu at Marmara University Faculty of Theology Mosque in Üsküdar Altunizade. Çomoğlu's family, relatives, and friends attended the ceremony. Gülşah Çomoğlu's husband Gökhan Günal accepted condolences. The grieving husband, brother, and mother cried uncontrollably during the funeral prayer and were barely calmed down by their loved ones. The devastated mother, shattered by the pain of losing her child, hugged her daughter's coffin and shed tears. Çomoğlu's cousin, who is also an actress, İlayda Alişan, struggled to stand at the funeral ceremony. After the funeral prayer performed after the noon prayer, forgiveness was sought, and prayers were made. Çomoğlu was buried in Kanlıca Cemetery.
Gülşah Çomoğlu's death was announced yesterday by her husband Gökhan Ünal. Devastated by his wife's death, Ünal said, "My dear wife, the joy of my life, unfortunately, we lost my daughter's mother" in his statement.

Gülşah Çomoğlu was born on May 30, 1986, in Ankara. A graduate of Bilkent University Conservatory Department, Çomoğlu appeared in theater plays such as İki Efendinin Kuşağı, Troyalı Kadınlar, Kafatası, Yeşil Kuş, Tanrı, Hürrem Sultan, Camdan Kalp, Venedik Taciri. The actress portrayed the character Asuman in the series Unutma Beni and played the role of Bahar in Kasaba Doktoru.
