A Presidential Decree regarding amendments to certain Presidential decrees has been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, the "Presidency Secretariat" has been reinstated instead of the Administrative Affairs Presidency in the Presidential Organization Decree No. 1.

WENT INTO EFFECT TONIGHT

The "Administrative Affairs President" in the same Presidential Decree has been changed to "Secretary General." The decree went into effect tonight.

The decree stated, "References in the legislation to the Presidency Administrative Affairs Presidency shall be deemed to refer to the Presidency Secretary General, and references to the Presidency Administrative Affairs President shall be deemed to refer to the Presidency Secretary General. Appointments made to the Presidency Administrative Affairs Presidency positions shall be deemed to have been made to the Presidency Secretary General positions."
