With the decrease in Brent crude oil prices and fluctuations in exchange rates, there is ongoing movement in fuel prices in Turkey. Excise tax increases and global market fluctuations directly affect gasoline and diesel prices. However, this time there is good news for consumers.

A REDUCTION OF 1 LIRA 46 KURUS IS COMING

According to information obtained from industry sources, a reduction of 1 lira 46 kurus is expected in gasoline prices starting from August 23, 2024, following the decline in international markets. After the reduction, the price per liter of gasoline will decrease to 43.51 TL in Ankara, 43.20 TL in Istanbul, and 44.01 TL in Izmir.

Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average of processed product prices in the Mediterranean market, including Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate.
