In the Alaşehir district of Manisa, 2 people lost their lives and 3 others were injured in an accident where a truck that lost control due to rain overturned and collided with a car.
The accident occurred around 5:30 PM at the Kavaklıdere junction on the Denizli-Izmir highway. According to the information obtained, the truck driven by İsmail Göksen (39) overturned after losing control on the slippery road due to the rain.
OVERTURNED, COLLIDED WITH A CAR
The overturned truck crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a car traveling towards Salihli. In the accident, the truck driver İsmail Göksen (39) and E.Ş. (31), who was in the same vehicle, lost their lives at the scene.
The car driver Ali Çoban (31) and passenger Fatma Çoban (33) were slightly injured, while Dilek Cengiz (50) was seriously injured. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals after the first intervention by the medical teams dispatched to the scene. An investigation has been launched regarding the accident.
