In Sarıyer, a man who was assaulted by staff after disputing the bill at an entertainment venue later opened fire at the establishment he had visited. The man who fired at the venue was captured by police teams during an operation and was arrested by the judicial authorities to which he was brought.
The incident occurred on November 27 at 6:30 AM in the Huzur neighborhood of Sarıyer. According to allegations, Sami K., who came to an entertainment venue on the street during the night, started to spend time there.
HIGH BILL FIGHT ERUPTED
After a while, Sami K. requested the bill. He disputed the bill, claiming it was high, and began to argue with the staff. When the argument escalated into a fight, Sami K. was assaulted and thrown out of the venue.
OPENED FIRE
In the following hours, Sami K. returned to the front of the entertainment venue and fired 14 shots at it. While 11 bullets hit the venue, there were no fatalities or injuries, but damage occurred to the entertainment venue and another nearby business.
Upon receiving a tip-off, police dispatched to the scene conducted an investigation.
After the investigation, the Sarıyer Public Order Bureau teams identified the suspect from security cameras. Sami K., who stayed in Sivas for 3 days after the incident and returned to Istanbul, was captured by police teams in Kağıthane. After police procedures, Sami K. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested and sent to prison.
