Two Russian families who have been living in Antalya for 4 years are devastated due to their dog that went missing in Kemer on January 10. The families, who lost their dogs named Rubi and Boris during a trip in Kemer, will offer a reward of 100,000 TL for finding their dog alive and 10,000 TL for finding it dead.
The Ivakina couple, who came to Turkey 4 years ago due to the Russia-Ukraine war and settled in the Döşemealtı district of Antalya, set out to explore the foothills of Tahtalı Mountain in Kemer with their dog Rubi and their friends' dog Boris, forming a group of 8 people. The group, which entered the Tahtalı Cable Car road with their cars, stopped when Galina Ivakina fell ill. When the group got out of their vehicles, the dogs began to play in the wooded area.
THE SOUND OF DOGS FIGHTING WAS HEARD
The group, trying to help Galina Ivakina walk and recover, heard the sound of dogs fighting from the area where Boris and Robi were located in the forest. As the group approached that point, they encountered a large Kangal dog, and the group, which also had children with them, had to retreat when the dog attacked.
ROBI'S TRACKING DEVICE FOUND, NO NEWS OF BORIS
Despite all the difficulties, the families who did not give up searching for their dogs found Robi's tracking device next to the place where the shepherds had dumped trash, 9 days after he went missing. Vladislav Ivakin claimed that when he asked the shepherds about the situation, they replied, "We didn't see anything."
Friends of the family, including Zülfiye Aslan, who said they participated in one of the persistent searches for the lost dogs, recounted that when they went to find the dogs with the family, a shepherd approached them and said, "You can't stay here, this is private property, the gendarmerie will come." When she asked, "Did you call them?" he replied, "No, they called from the Cable Car," but when they asked the people at the Cable Car station about it, they were told, "We don't know anything, why should we call?"
THOUSANDS OF FLYERS PRINTED
The owners, who did not give up searching for their lost dogs, are trying to keep their hopes alive by offering a reward of 100,000 TL for finding their dogs alive and 10,000 TL for finding them dead in the thousands of flyers they printed, and by traveling an average of 200 kilometers every day.
