A scrap dealer who found Durdona Khokimova, a citizen of Uzbekistan, in a trash container in Şişli said, "When I felt the warmth, I thought there might be a body inside. I thought if it were an animal, I could lift it. Since I couldn't lift it, I realized it was a body and went straight to the police station. I told the police officer at the door, 'Brother, I think I found a body in the bag.' Then we returned with the police friends. I helped them take it out. When we opened it, we found a lifeless body."
Okan Çetinbaşlar, who found the lifeless body of Durdona Khokimova, a citizen of Uzbekistan, in a trash container in Şişli, recounted the events.
"I SAW BLOOD TRAILS"
Çetinbaşlar said, "I go out to collect scrap as a side job. Last night, I checked the trash containers up there and here. When I couldn't find anything here, I went to the one below. While sorting through the trash, I found a black bag. When I tore it open, a sheet came out. I couldn't open the knotted sheet. I thought there were clothes and laundry inside, so I tried to lift it. When I couldn't lift it and tore the bag from underneath, I saw blood trails. I went into shock, my hands and feet went numb. I didn't know what to do."
"WHEN WE OPENED IT, WE FOUND A LIFLESS BODY"
To understand what was happening, I touched it. When I felt warmth, I thought maybe there was a corpse inside. I thought if it were an animal, I could lift it. Realizing it was a corpse because I couldn't lift it, I went straight to the police station. I told the officer at the door, 'Brother, I think I found a corpse in the bag.' When I explained the situation, the officer first asked, 'Could it be an animal?' Then we returned with the police officers. I helped them take it out. When we opened it, we found a lifeless body," he said.
