The candidate squad of our National Team for the matches against Georgia and Spain has been announced.
Our national team’s candidate squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers has been announced.
The list determined by Head Coach Vincenzo Montella includes the following names;
Goalkeepers: Altay Bayındır, Berke Özer, Mert Günok, Uğurcan Çakır
Defense: Abdülkerim Bardakcı, Çağlar Söyüncü, Eren Elmalı, Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Merih Demiral, Mert Müldür, Samet Akaydın, Yusuf Akçiçek, Zeki Çelik
Midfield: Demir Ege Tiknaz, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, İsmail Yüksek, Kaan Ayhan, Orkun Kökçü, Salih Özcan
Forwards: Arda Güler, Barış Alper Yılmaz, Can Uzun, Deniz Gül, İrfan Can Kahveci, Kenan Yıldız, Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Oğuz Aydın, Yunus Akgün
The crescent-star players will gather on September 1, Monday, at 12:00 at the TFF's Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities in Riva. The first training will be held on the same day at 18:00.
Turkey will face Spain, Georgia, and Bulgaria in Group E of the qualifiers. The team that finishes first in the group will directly qualify for the World Cup, while the second-placed team will play in the playoffs.
FIRST TEST GEORGIA
The national team will have its first test in the group against Georgia on Thursday, September 4, in Tbilisi. The match at Boris Paichadze National Stadium will start at 19:00 TRT. The A National Team will face Spain in Konya on Sunday, September 7. The match will kick off at 21:45.
