The statement of the stepson who reported suspect Hüseyin Gün, who benefited from the effective remorse provisions in the investigation regarding the 'espionage' allegations involving suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his position as the Mayor of Istanbul and arrested, has emerged.
Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was suspended from his position after being arrested as part of the 'corruption' investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the strategist Necati Özkan, the appointed trustee of TELE1's General Manager Merdan Yanardağ, technology investor Hüseyin Gün, and the suspect Melih Geçek are under investigation for the allegation of 'espionage'.
THE STATEMENT OF HÜSEYİN GÜN'S STEPSON HAS EMERGED
The statement given by Ü.D.A., the stepson who reported suspect Gün by benefiting from the effective remorse provisions within the scope of the investigation, has emerged from the Istanbul Anti-Terror Branch Directorate. In his statement, Ü.D.A. indicated that he met Hüseyin Gün through his mother in 2004, stating, "I know that this person's acquaintance with my mother occurred at an economic conference held on Azerbaijan. Due to this acquaintance, he had mentioned to my mother in their meetings that he had connections with many people and capital groups abroad, in England, America, and Israel, and that he could bring investments from there, expressing his intention and request to work together. As a result of the meetings held at that time, they entered into the idea of opening a company together. My mother and Gün established many companies such as 'Avicenna Capital' and 'Avicenna Holding' in 2005. During this partnership, he transferred money to many companies operating both in Turkey and abroad from the profits obtained from the company's commercial activities and the company's capital without my mother's approval or by presenting it differently," he said.
"I HAD HEARD THAT DESPITE ISRAEL'S BAN ON FOREIGNERS ENTERING THE COUNTRY DURING THE PANDEMIC, HÜSEYİN GÜN AND HIS GROUP WERE GIVEN SPECIAL WELCOME AND TREATMENT"
Ü.D.A. stated that he knew suspect Gün aimed to market the crypto software program named 'CELLCRYPT' to state officials of the time, saying, "I think the main purpose of this software program is to infiltrate the phones of individuals in high positions in our state to reveal confidential information or to obtain information from every level of the state. In my research regarding the CELLCRYPT software, I believe that this software serves the British intelligence agency. A former assistant of his, B.Y., told me, 'Mr. Hüseyin would take certain precautions to avoid problems during police checkpoints. I know he had a signal jammer in his vehicle.' He has traveled extensively to Israel and African countries. I suspect he met with agents of the Israeli intelligence agency in African countries. In fact, I had heard that despite Israel's ban on foreigners entering the country during the pandemic, special welcome and treatment were given to Hüseyin Gün and his group," he stated.
"WHEN I SAW THE NEWS OF THE RADIO/CALL DEVICE EXPLOSION IN LEBANON, HÜSEYİN GÜN CAME TO MY MIND FIRST"
Continuing his statement, Ü.D.A. mentioned that when he saw the news of the radio/call device explosion in Lebanon about a year ago, Hüseyin Gün was the first person that came to his mind, stating, "Considering his past desire to trade in encrypted phones, call devices, and signal jammers, along with his closeness to Israeli and British intelligence agents, I thought he might have had a role in this explosion. I believe this person has engaged in espionage activities not only in our country but also in friendly neighboring countries such as Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, based on the commercial activities he has shown. I know that during the establishment of this company, they financed many individuals, including the then-opposition figure İsa Gambar in Azerbaijan, under the guise of democratization. Later, I learned that large sums of money were transferred through this company to political lobbying firms in America via a law office named Edward Palmer, with the aim of supporting the opposition, exerting pressure on the current government, and attempting to overthrow or weaken it when the opportunity arose. Additionally, in 2005-2006, there were activities aimed at overthrowing the existing government in Uzbekistan. I know that in meetings with the British intelligence services, MİS and MI6, he requested funding for the opposition to carry out a coup. I heard about these matters when Hüseyin Gün was explaining them to my mother," he said.
"ERDOĞAN'S SENSE OF TRUST AND CREDIT ABROAD HAS EXPIRED, DO NOT MAKE ANY INVESTMENTS IN TURKEY"
Ü.D.A. stated that he was aware of his involvement in events that would take place in Uzbekistan as a result of mutual agreement, saying, "I would also like to point out that this person, in early 2016, during conversations with his circle, stated, 'Erdoğan's sense of trust and credit abroad has expired. It will be very difficult for him to govern. There will be a major upheaval in Turkey soon, an economic crisis will emerge, and foreign currencies like the Dollar will be seized. This is the information I received from people I spoke with abroad. Do not make any investments in Turkey, do not risk your existing money. In fact, transfer any investments or money you have to America, England, and Switzerland,' he advised. Furthermore, I know that suspect Gün has a girlfriend named A.Ö.B. I know that he had a small café in Beşiktaş when he met her. I know that the number of such acquaintances increased after their meeting. The purpose of this is that Hüseyin Gün meets in cafes owned by A.Ö.B. to avoid drawing attention during his meetings with foreign intelligence agencies," he expressed.
