The suspects disguised as police handcuffed the people in the house and stole 100,000 euros.

In Izmir, suspects who disguised themselves as police entered a house, handcuffed the occupants, and stole 100,000 euros and 67,000 lira before fleeing. Out of the 7 suspects captured, 4 were arrested.

An event reminiscent of film scenes occurred in the Bornova district of İzmir. Teams from the İzmir Police Department's Robbery Bureau and the Crime Analysis Center (SAM) initiated an investigation regarding the hostage-taking and qualified robbery incident that took place on January 8 in the Meriç neighborhood.

THEY HANDCUFFED THE INHABITANTS AND MADE A HEIST

Suspects W.A. (32) and S.İ. (32), who posed as police officers, entered the house. The fake police handcuffed the individuals in the house and fled with 100,000 euros and 67,000 liras. The police launched a detailed investigation in pursuit of the robbers.

4 OUT OF 7 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

In their investigations, the police identified the suspects involved in the incident as A.U. (31), İ.B. (30), B.Ş. (28), B.Ü. (25), M.Y. (27), O.Ş. (28), and İ.C. (27), and apprehended all 7 suspects. Among the detained suspects, İ.C. was released after giving a statement, while B.Ü., B.Ş., İ.B., and A.U. were arrested by the court to which they were referred; O.Ş. and M.Y. were released under judicial control.
