Heavy rainfall caused a flood in the famous Cappadocia region of Nevşehir. In the district of Avanos, 3 parked cars were damaged due to a landslide. However, the grandfather and his grandson who were trapped in the vehicles were rescued by the rescue teams. In the town of Göreme, 2 parked cars also fell from a sloping area due to a landslide.

After the downpour in Nevşehir, falling rock fragments caused damage to 3 vehicles, while the grandfather and grandson trapped in the vehicles were rescued by the teams.

Due to the heavy rain in the evening hours in Çavuşin village, which is connected to Avanos district, a flood occurred. The rock fragments that broke off due to the flood caused damage to 3 parked cars. The falling rock fragments due to the heavy rain caused damage to the parked car.

GRANDFATHER AND GRANDSON RESCUED AT THE LAST MOMENT

While the flood waters blocked the roads, Rafet E. and his 12-year-old grandson were trapped in their vehicle. Upon notification, gendarmerie and Provincial Special Administration teams were dispatched to the area. As a result of the efforts of the teams, the grandfather and grandson were rescued from the vehicle.

In Göreme town, 2 parked cars fell from a sloping area due to soil erosion caused by the flood that occurred after the heavy rain. The vehicles suffered damage.
