THE TRAGIC DEATH OF THE YUNUS POLICE
The accident occurred around 1:00 PM near Beşikçi Neighborhood on the Kumluca-Antalya highway. Cuma Şimşek, who was on duty at the Antalya Provincial Police Department, lost control of his motorcycle with the license plate 07 BYN 541 in a curve, causing it to overturn. Şimşek, who was dragged for about 150 meters, crashed into a barrier. Police officer Cuma Şimşek, who was on duty in the Yunus Team, lost his life.
BURNT DUE TO FRICTION
Health and fire crews were dispatched to the accident site upon reports from bystanders. Şimşek, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, had his motorcycle burn due to friction after it was shattered. While the fire on the motorcycle was extinguished by the teams, Cuma Şimşek's body was taken to the morgue.
