ISRAELI MINISTER'S SCANDALOUS STATEMENTS
Sena Polat, who was illegally detained during Israel's attack on the Global Sumud Fleet, recounted her experiences in prison during their return to Turkey.
Polat conveyed the threats from National Security Minister Ben Gvir, stating, "On the first day we went there, Ben Gvir was also there. He was waiting for us and made a speech saying, 'These are terrorists, and we will judge them under harsher conditions than terrorists and we will confront them here.'
He was so cowardly that he had security forces around him. Every time he spoke, he would hide behind the security forces when he shouted 'Free Palestine,'" she expressed.
"THERE IS A PERVERTED MINDSET"
Polat stated, "They know they are on occupied land and that this land does not belong to them, and they live with that fear. They should live with that fear." She continued, "What we experienced is nothing. People from 44 countries were there, and the world's eyes were on this place, yet they held us there without adhering to any humanitarian conditions or prison regulations.
We were forbidden to go outside, and they did not give us water for 2 days. We could not access our medications. They woke us up every hour, just to disturb us. There is a perverted mindset beyond evil, and they take pleasure in it."
GLOBAL SUMUD FLEET
The Global Sumud Fleet, which set out to break Israel's blockade and deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, approached the waters of Gaza on the evening of October 1.
The Israeli army, which attacked the fleet, illegally seized dozens of boats and ships, detaining hundreds of passengers.
The Global Sumud Fleet is the largest fleet to set out collectively to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza to date.
