Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir, who killed his wife, who was in the process of divorce, with 22 knife wounds in Konya, defended himself in court by saying, "My arm has 'Ebru' written on it, and there is an infinity sign at the beginning and the end. It's because of my mother-in-law." The suspect, who was found to have threatened the woman by saying, "If you have any sense, leave Konya," and made searches like "Hunting knife Konya," was sentenced to life imprisonment with aggravated circumstances.
A brutal incident occurred on October 25 at around 18:30 in a site located on Ebusuud Efendi Street in the Havzan neighborhood of the central Meram district of Konya. According to the information obtained, Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir (47) followed his estranged wife, Ebru Küçüktaşdemir (45), who is a teacher at a private educational institution, to the site where she was to give a private lesson.
KILLED HIS WIFE WITH 22 KNIFE STABS
During a dispute between the couple, Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir stabbed Ebru Küçüktaşdemir 22 times in various parts of her body with a knife he had with him. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the police teams neutralized the suspect, the woman, who was severely injured in the incident, died after being taken to Meram State Hospital following the first intervention. The detained suspect husband was arrested by the judicial authorities after his statement and sent to prison.
DROPPED OUT OF SCHOOL BUT IS TEACHING
While the Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office completed its investigation regarding the incident, an indictment was filed against the detained suspect for 'premeditated murder against a woman' with a request for aggravated life imprisonment. The prepared indictment stated that despite dropping out of the education faculty, the suspect husband had been working as a Turkish teacher at a private tutoring center for years.

After examining the suspect's phone, it was revealed that on the day of the incident, he sent threatening messages to Ebru Küçüktaşdemir, stating, "Is there anywhere else besides prison? This will end today. Everything is over for me. If you have any sense, leave Konya," and that he had made searches such as "Hunting knife Konya" about 6 hours before the incident, which was also included in the indictment.

A final hearing was held in the trial of Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir, who was charged with 'premeditated murder against a spouse' and faced aggravated life imprisonment, at the 4th Heavy Penal Court of Konya. The suspect husband attended the hearing via the Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBİS).
When asked by the court panel if he had anything to say, the suspect stated, "I am not materialistic; they are slandering me. 'Ebru' is written on my arm, and there is an infinity sign at the beginning and end. I did not send my wife to infinity. Our home was destroyed because of my wife's mother." The court panel sentenced Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir to aggravated life imprisonment.
