"THERE WAS A SPRING EXPLOSION"
Narlıkuyu Neighborhood Muhtar İrfan Aydın stated, "You descend here with 452 steps. There is a large underground waterfall and water source at the bottom. The water source had not been bubbling for 13 years. Due to the rains, there has been an incredible spring explosion this year. Right now, our cave is filled with water up to halfway. Our visiting guests can come directly down and visit these areas. The bubbling water that existed 13 years ago disappeared due to the dry period. The current situation is that it has started bubbling again from the same rocks it bubbled from 13 years ago," he said. On the other hand, according to data from the Mersin Governorship and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; 500,000 people visited this area in 2025.
