The labor force participation rate was 72.1 percent for men and 36.8 percent for women. UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AMONG YOUNG POPULATION WAS 16.5 PERCENTThe unemployment rate among the young population aged 15-24 increased by 0.1 points compared to the previous month, reaching 16.5 percent. In this age group, the unemployment rate was estimated to be 13.8 percent for men and 21.4 percent for women. AVERAGE ACTUAL WORKING TIME PER WEEK WAS 42.7 HOURSAmong the employed individuals, the average actual working time per week, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, increased by 0.1 hours compared to the previous month, reaching 42.7 hours in August 2024. UNDERUTILIZED LABOR FORCE RATE WAS 27.2 PERCENTThe rate of underutilized labor force, consisting of time-related underemployment, potential labor force, and unemployed individuals, increased by 0.7 points compared to the previous month, reaching 27.2 percent in August 2024. The combined rate of time-related underemployment and unemployed individuals was 18.2 percent, while the combined rate of unemployed and potential labor force was estimated to be 18.7 percent.
