A Russian-made drone that fell in a rural area of the Izmit district in Kocaeli has been found in the same location for three days. A citizen who saw the drone fall stated, "It's been three days; I saw it on Wednesday. I heard a noise while coming down from the field. I realized it was going to fall, then it crashed and landed. I was too scared to approach it. I didn't tell anyone, thinking maybe they would come and take it. I was afraid something bad might happen, like it being a bomb, so I didn't go near it."
In the Izmit district of Kocaeli, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that fell in a rural area was taken under investigation by gendarmerie teams. A citizen who saw the UAV fall said, "It has been 3 days, I saw it on Wednesday. I heard a sound while coming down from the field. I realized it was going to fall, then it crashed and fell. UAV FELL ON A VEHICLE
According to the information obtained, gendarmerie and crime scene investigation teams were dispatched to the area in the rural Çubuklubala neighborhood after a report of an unmanned aerial vehicle that had fallen. The teams, who cordoned off the area with a security tape, initiated a detailed technical examination at the point where the aircraft fell and its surroundings. The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that the UAV was of Russian origin.

Ismail Bayhan, who found the UAV, stated that the aircraft fell on Wednesday, saying, "It has been 3 days, I saw it on Wednesday. I heard a sound while coming down from the field. I realized it was going to fall. It crashed right here and fell. I couldn't approach it because I was scared. There was a buzzing sound. I didn't tell anyone thinking maybe they would come and take it. I was afraid something bad would happen, like a bomb, so I couldn't get close anyway. I didn't tell anyone because I was scared. When no one came to take it, I told the village headman today. The headman came and looked, and he also informed the teams."
"HE CAN'T APPROACH IT OUT OF FEAR"
Çubuklubala Neighborhood Headman Muharrem Kaymaz stated in his remarks, "Our uncle Ismail saw an object flying while going to his garden around 11:00 on Wednesday, and after waiting a bit, he saw it fall. Of course, he can't approach it out of fear. He didn't report it thinking maybe the owner would come and take it, due to his fear. Today, he informed us about the situation and explained it. We also notified the authorities. Currently, investigations are being conducted here, and necessary work is being carried out; we do not know the details."
