The Ministry of Interior made a statement regarding the UAV found in Izmit. The statement said, "A drone, assessed to be of Russian origin and used for reconnaissance and surveillance purposes, identified as the Orlan-10 type, has been found. An investigation into the matter is ongoing."

It has been learned that the UAV that crashed in İzmit district of Kocaeli is of Russian origin.

UAV CRASHED IN İZMİT

Citizens who saw the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) lying motionless in the rural Çubuklubala neighborhood of İzmit district in Kocaeli reported the situation to the authorities. Upon the notification, gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. An investigation has been initiated regarding the crashed UAV.

THE UAV IS OF RUSSIAN ORIGIN

The Ministry of Interior has made a statement regarding the matter. The ministry stated that the UAV is of Russian origin. The statement included the following remarks: "Today, within the borders of Çubuklubala neighborhood in Kocaeli-İzmit district, according to initial determinations; an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) assessed to be of Russian origin, used for reconnaissance and surveillance purposes, type Orlan-10 has been found. The investigation regarding the matter is ongoing."
