The withdrawal of Hakan Bilal Kutlualp, who was a presidential candidate for the yellow-navy team, in favor of Sadettin Saran was a turning point in the election.
In the extraordinary general assembly of Fenerbahçe, Sadettin Saran, who gained 12,325 of the valid 24,393 votes, established superiority over Ali Koç and became the 38th president of the yellow-navy blue club.
THE HIDDEN HERO OF THE ELECTION: HAKAN BILAL KUTLUALP
The fate of the presidential election, which ended with a difference of 257 votes and was attended by over 24,000 members, was determined by Hakan Bilal Kutlualp. Hakan Bilal Kutlualp, who initiated the signature campaign for the election to be held in June and ran for presidency, withdrew in favor of Sadettin Saran, who was elected president of Fenerbahçe just days before the congress. Thus, Kutlualp's votes went to Saran.
ALI KOÇ'S 4,936 VOTES DISSOLVED IN A YEAR
In the ordinary congress held on June 9, 2024, where he competed against Aziz Yıldırım, Ali Koç received 16,464 votes, while in yesterday's extraordinary election, he could only gather 12,068 votes. Thus, Koç's votes decreased by 4,936 in a year.
