Following U.S. President Donald Trump's threat of "We will take them back to the Stone Age," attacks by the U.S. and Israel against Iran have intensified. In a joint airstrike by Washington and Tel Aviv, the B1, known as "the highest bridge in the Middle East," located in the city of Karaj in Alborz province, was targeted. As a result of the attack, the middle section of the bridge was completely destroyed, two people lost their lives, and many others were injured.

The US and Israel, which continue their attacks on Iran, targeted B1, known as "the highest bridge in the Middle East," in an airstrike on the city of Karaj near Tehran in Elburz province.

THE MIDDLE SECTION WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED: 2 DEAD

Elburz Province Deputy Governor Kudretullah Seyf, who made a statement regarding the attack, said that 2 people lost their lives and many others were injured. Seyf reported that the middle section of the bridge was completely destroyed as a result of the attack and that the injured were transferred to health centers, adding that search and rescue teams were continuing their work in the area and that security operations were also proceeding rapidly.

“WE WILL REBUILD”

Seyf reported that there were power outages in some areas during the attack, stating, "With all our strength, we will rebuild this bridge after the security process is completed. This project will be brought back to life with local resources and the contributions of the country's best engineers."

TRUMP'S THREAT: “WE WILL TAKE THEM BACK TO THE STONE AGE”

US President Donald Trump once again threatened Iran in his address to the nation on the 34th day of the war. Claiming that they would complete their military objectives in a short time, Trump said, “In the next 2-3 weeks, we will hit them hard and take them back to the Stone Age. We have not hit the oil infrastructure for now, but we can. The radar systems are destroyed. Iran is no longer a threat; it is an investment for our children. The US will be safer and stronger."

Emphasizing that his country does not need oil from the Strait of Hormuz, Trump continued: “If countries in the world are taking oil from Hormuz, they should do it; they should lead. Let them buy oil from the US. Secondly, go to the Strait of Hormuz, take it, and use it for yourselves. Iran is currently in a decapitated state. They will want to sell oil because that is all they have.

IRAN'S STRONG RESPONSE: THE OTHER SIDE WILL FACE SURRENDER

Following this threat, a response came from Ibrahim Zulfikari, spokesperson for the unified command center of the Iranian Armed Forces. Zulfikari announced that Tehran would continue its military operations, stating that the other side would face “permanent regret and surrender.” The Iranian official argued that the assessments of the US and Israel regarding Iran's military capacity were “incomplete.” The statement emphasized that future operations would continue more intensely and effectively.

“THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ WILL REMAIN CLOSED TO IRAN'S ENEMIES AND THEIR BASES”

On the other hand, Ali Akbar Velayati, senior advisor to Iranian leader Mujtaba Khamenei and one of the country's prominent politicians, stated that the Strait of Hormuz would remain "closed to Iran's enemies and their bases." In a message shared on the social media platform of the US-based X company, Velayati said, "The Strait of Hormuz is open to the world, but it will always remain closed to the enemies of the Iranian people and their bases in the region."

US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between Tehran and the Washington administration. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the US-Israel attacks, many high-ranking officials, including former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, were killed.
