As the fragility of the ceasefire on the US/Israel-Iran line continues, tensions have risen again in the region. The US military struck 2 Iranian ships in the Gulf of Oman, citing a violation of the blockade. Iran, in turn, announced that a conflict has been ongoing between US and Iranian elements in the Strait of Hormuz for about an hour.

CENTCOM: 2 VESSELS INTERVENED
In a statement by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), it was stated, "The US military intervened in 2 vessels violating the blockade in the Gulf of Oman."
The statement also noted that so far 50 vessels have been turned back, and 73 oil tankers have failed to transport a total of 166 million barrels of Iranian oil. The US side claimed that this situation has caused over $13 billion in damage to Iran's economy.
IRAN: CONFLICT IN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ
Following these developments, a notable statement also came from Iran. The semi-official Fars News Agency announced that a conflict occurred between the Iranian Armed Forces and US elements in the Strait of Hormuz.

These developments, occurring at a time when the ceasefire's fragile structure persists in the region, indicated that tensions in the Middle East could escalate once more.
IRAN: WE ARE STILL CONSIDERING THE US OFFER
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that Tehran is still examining the US offer aimed at ending the war and will announce its stance after a final decision is made, saying, "Regarding the negotiations, the offer is being reviewed, and when we reach a final conclusion, we will certainly announce it."
"RESPONDED WITH FULL FORCE"
Referring to the mutual firing incidents throughout the night, Baghaei stated that Iran is "officially in a ceasefire," adding that the country's armed forces are closely monitoring developments and will "respond to any aggression or adventurism with full force."
