The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, built in China, has finally opened to the public. Thanks to this giant bridge, a journey that used to take two hours can now be completed in just two minutes.

Located in Guizhou province, the bridge is nine times taller than the Golden Gate Bridge and twice the length of the Eiffel Tower. Its height is nearly equal to that of Shanghai Tower, which is 632 meters tall.

Previously, people in the area spent about two hours crossing the canyon. With the new bridge, this time has been reduced to just two minutes.

The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge rises exactly 625 meters above the Beipan River. The bridge, which took three years to construct, was completed using advanced techniques such as satellite navigation and drone technology.

The bridge has a total of 215 tons of steel supports. This structure, which is 1.4 kilometers long, was designed to safely carry heavy loads in the region.

Officials state that the bridge will accelerate economic growth in Guizhou province. Chen Jianlei, Deputy Director of the Guizhou Transportation Department, made the following statement to China Daily:

"This bridge will strengthen economic connections between the cities of Guiyang, Anshun, and Qianxinan, and accelerate development in the region."

The chief engineer of the bridge stated that completing the project gave him a great sense of pride and accomplishment. The main load-bearing part of the bridge consists of 93 sections weighing a total of 22,000 tons — equivalent to three times the weight of the Eiffel Tower.

The project began in 2022, and the bridge, valued at £227 million, has now earned the title of the world's highest bridge. Previously, this record belonged to the Beipanjiang Bridge in Guizhou province.

Additionally, the Jeddah Tower, currently under construction in Saudi Arabia, will become the tallest skyscraper in the world upon completion. The tower will reach a height of 3,280 feet (approximately 1,000 meters), making it three times taller than The Shard.

The Burj Azizi, to be built in Dubai, will feature the world's highest nightclub and observation deck. This tower will have a total height of 2,379 feet (approximately 725 meters), making it twice the size of The Shard and valued at £1.15 billion. Construction has already begun, and it is planned to be completed by 2028.
