A knife fight that occurred late at night in the Konak district of Izmir resulted in the death of a musician. Emre Duman, 31, who had an argument with a group that blocked his way, was severely injured after being stabbed in the heart during the ensuing brawl. Duman was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions, while police teams launched an operation to capture the suspects who fled the scene after the incident.

A knife attack that occurred late at night in the Konak district of Izmir cost the life of a musician. 31-year-old Emre Duman, who got into an argument with a group that blocked his way, was stabbed in the heart and seriously injured. Duman, who was taken to the hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions.

THE ARGUMENT ESCALATED INTO A FIGHT

The incident took place around 11:30 PM in Kuruçay Square, Emir Sultan Neighborhood.

Emre Duman, who was visiting his musician friends with his friend Çağatay T., was blocked by a group for an unknown reason. The argument between the parties quickly escalated into a fight.

STABBED IN THE HEART

During the fight, Emre Duman was stabbed in the heart. Seriously injured, Duman was taken to Tepecik Training and Research Hospital by the medical teams who arrived at the scene upon the notification of those nearby.

Duman, who underwent surgery, passed away in the early hours of the morning.

After the examination by the prosecutor's office, Duman's body was taken to the Izmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.

Following the incident, police teams launched a large-scale operation to capture the suspects who fled the scene.
