A forest worker named Kader Dereli, who suffered burns on his body in a forest fire in the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir, has been admitted to the intensive care unit. It was reported that Dereli sustained damage to his lungs due to the intense heat and smoke.
In the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir, during a forest fire, one of the forest workers who was rescued from a 24-person team trapped in the flames cried out, "I'm burning, give me water!" after the wind suddenly changed direction. Kader Dereli, who came from Denizli to participate in the efforts, was injured yesterday due to the sudden change in the strong wind.
Dereli, who received initial intervention from the Eskişehir Odunpazarı Municipality Search and Rescue teams, was later taken by fire truck to the fire coordination center.
UNDER TREATMENT
Dereli, who was taken by ambulance by the health teams, was placed under treatment at Eskişehir City Hospital.
During the examination, it was determined that the forest worker Kader Dereli from Denizli had second and third-degree burns on his hands, face, and legs, and it was also found that he suffered lung damage due to intense heat and smoke.
It was reported that Dereli, who was taken to the intensive care unit of the burn unit at the city hospital, is not in critical condition, and it was learned that he would undergo surgery again today.
