In the 5th week of the Trendyol Super League, Kocaelispor lost to Gaziantep FK and remained at 1 point after 5 weeks. The fans have called for the management to resign.
Kocaelispor, the new team in the league, is in turmoil after losing 2-0 to Gaziantep FK in the 5th week of the Trendyol Super League.
MANAGEMENT CALLED TO RESIGN
As a result of collecting only 1 point in 5 weeks, Kocaelispor fans took action and called for the green-black management to resign. Hodri Meydan Fans Association President Enver Güler made a statement saying, "We won't evaluate too many matches. We were more ambitious. We saw ourselves as more ambitious in the stands. We say we are behind the team and the coach. 1 point in 5 matches has started to seem very ridiculous to us. We said it was the fixture's fault, we said it was a newly established team. Everyone is being established. We are not the only ones who are newly established. They shouldn't send us away from the stadiums with our heads down again. If they do, we will take the necessary actions."
"WE WILL TRAVEL FOR 15-16 HOURS"
Enver Güler stated that no one in the community is taking responsibility, saying, "What does it mean to have 1 point in 5 matches? We can't understand what we are playing. We have been watching matches for years. Let's not interfere with the technical team's game, but these kids will leave here with their heads down. How will this happen? We will travel for 15-16 hours. We said responsibility needed to be taken in the last match. No one is taking responsibility. This fan base is sad, this fan base is devastated. One of our cars burned on the road. Thank God no one was harmed. We don't see any fight on the field. They shouldn't push our patience. We will take the necessary actions. If responsibility is to be taken, we will take that responsibility. Everyone knows where Kocaelispor came from. Such a success has come after 16 years and it needs to be permanent. We said we would be permanent, but here we are with 1 point in 5 matches. There is nothing to explain to the fans. No one is making a statement. No one knows what the fans have been through and what they have experienced."
"NOT MUCH TO TALK ABOUT"
Expressing the need for action, Enver Güler said, "There are friends who will go by plane, they will wait in the streets until around 4 o'clock. There is not much to talk about. We are angry, we are tense, we are sad. 1 point in 5 matches. They should take action now. We are saying it. Do what is necessary, brother. Don't make us too angry. We are trying to maintain a principled stance. We are showcasing the character of the city of Kocaeli in the stands. But we want something on the field as well. They will excite us. They should take action."
