In inspections conducted on businesses located around schools in Hatay, 465 kilograms of products were seized and buried for disposal.
The Reyhanlı Municipality teams are continuing their efforts to ensure healthy food consumption for citizens throughout the district. Recently, inspections were carried out around the schools located in the center of Reyhanlı, targeting grocery stores, markets, and wholesale businesses.
A LARGE NUMBER OF PRODUCTS DESTROYED
During the inspections, a total of 465 kilograms of products threatening public health were seized, including 15 kilograms of cleaning products, 100 kilograms of chocolate and confectionery products, and 350 kilograms of milk powder and fruit juice powder. The seized products were destroyed by being buried in pits dug by the teams.
INSPECTIONS WILL CONTINUE
Reyhanlı Municipality's Zoning Director Doğan Beyazıt Batıray stated that they will not allow any products that threaten citizens' health, and he said that under the instructions of Mayor Ahmet Salman Yumuşak, they will continue inspections without interruption to ensure a safe food environment in Reyhanlı.
