TasteAtlas has published a new list regarding dishes that are often a topic of debate between Turkey and Greece. The platform highlighted the common cultural heritage in the world of gastronomy by bringing together traditional flavors claimed by both countries.
HERE IS THE LIST
The published list includes many dishes known by different names in both Turkish and Greek cuisine. Accordingly, the flavors jointly claimed by the two countries are as follows:
- Loukoumades (Lokma),
- Revani,
- Yaprak Sarması-Dolmades,
- Köfte-Keftedakia,
- Kokoreç-Kokoretsi,
- Pide ekmek-Pita,
- Cacık-Tzatziki,
- Tarama-Taramosalata,
- Patlıcan salatası-Melitzanosalata,
- Şiş kebap-Souvlaki,
- Döner kebap-Gyros.
