Three people, angered by the fact that their desired song was not played in Istanbul, hired a hitman to kill the waiter.

Three people caused a disturbance at a restaurant in Kumkapı, located in the Fatih district of Istanbul, because the song they wanted was not played, and they were removed from the venue by the staff.

THEY HIRED A HITMAN

According to allegations, the suspects hired a hitman and opened fire on the restaurant. The hitmen arrived on motorcycles at the closing time of the venue. In the attack, 23-year-old waiter Recep Denizhan was seriously injured. Denizhan was taken to the hospital but unfortunately could not be saved despite all interventions. Police teams have started working to capture the suspects whose identities they have identified.

"THERE IS SUCH A GANGSTERISM..."

Kemal Duranoğlu, the President of the Kumkapı Restaurant Tradesmen Solidarity and Assistance Association, made striking statements regarding the incident.

Duranoğlu drew attention to the extent of gangsterism in Istanbul. He expressed the following:

"This is a historical and touristic market. It is a place where people can come comfortably, but unfortunately, the neighborhoods around our market have deteriorated a bit. During tourism season, this place is already preferred by tourists and agencies. We are a market that can serve food to 4,000 people at the same time. We have our own private security, but it is not enough. Unfortunately, there is so much gangsterism in Istanbul that even our police can be shot. Three people came to the venue where the incident occurred. It is a place where live music is played, and they made a request for a song. Regarding the requested songs, they were told, 'The song is currently playing; we will do it later.' According to the information I received, they said, 'What we say will happen.' Then the owner of the establishment politely sent them away without taking the bill. Later, the individuals sent someone. At the exact closing time of the establishment, they opened fire with a gun. It is said that one of the bullets hit the capillary of our working brother, and he passed away. It saddened us a lot; he was a young brother. Hopefully, the perpetrators will be caught, and the incident will be clarified."
