U.S. President Donald Trump met with Finnish President Alexander Stubb at the White House. Answering questions from reporters in the Oval Office, Trump stated that the ceasefire process in Gaza would work well and that all countries in the region support this plan.
"THIS IS A PEACE PLAN"
In response to a question about whether he confirmed that Palestinians would not be forcibly removed during the reconstruction process in Gaza, Trump replied, "No, no one will be forcibly removed. We are not considering such a thing at all. This is a great plan, this is a peace plan, and it is a plan that everyone supports." Trump emphasized that the hostages would be released on Monday or Tuesday, saying, "I will probably be there that day. Everyone is celebrating in Israel and in many countries I have seen."
"NO ONE IN HISTORY HAS ENDED EIGHT WARS IN NINE MONTHS"
Speaking about the Nobel Peace Prize, Trump stated that he did not care about questions regarding the possibility of winning the award, but noted that he has made history with his peace efforts. Trump said, "No one in history has ended eight wars in nine months. I did that. This has never happened before."
Referring to the Nobel Committee, Trump said, "Whatever they do, it doesn't matter. I did this not for the award, but because I saved many people's lives."
HARSH CRITICISM OF OBAMA
Trump recalled that former U.S. President Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize, stating that Obama received this award despite being a bad president and doing nothing.
