White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated that President Donald Trump is still expecting NATO allies to take action and assume responsibility regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

WHITE: NATO MUST DO MORE ON THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ

Spokesperson Leavitt, in a brief statement to reporters in the White House garden, evaluated Trump's stance on NATO. Leavitt explained that Trump is disappointed that NATO countries have not taken any initiative regarding the Strait of Hormuz, saying, "The opening of the Strait of Hormuz benefits Europe the most and our allies in NATO, and the President wants them to do more on this issue."

Emphasizing that the U.S. is always alongside NATO when needed, Leavitt stated that NATO countries must also take concrete steps regarding the Strait of Hormuz today.

"WE SUNK MORE THAN 120 SHIPS BELONGING TO IRAN"

On the other hand, the U.S. spokesperson claimed that they have sunk more than 120 ships belonging to Iran in the attacks they conducted, stating, "These ships are currently at the bottom of the sea thanks to the U.S. armed forces."

Leavitt also reiterated President Trump's stance on Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, saying that Tehran "will not be able to possess nuclear weapons permanently."

TRUMP'S VISIT TO CHINA

Meanwhile, White House spokesperson Leavitt mentioned that Trump's planned visit to Beijing at the beginning of April has been postponed for a while and that China has understood this situation.

Leavitt added, "We are working on determining the date," and stated that they would share the visit schedule with the public once it is finalized.
