TRUMP: IRAN WANTS TO MAKE A DEAL BUT THEY ARE NOT READY

U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement regarding the war with Iran. Trump said, "The war with Iran will soon come to an end."

Speaking to PBS News, Trump added, "They want to make a deal, but in my opinion, they are not ready for that yet," and mentioned that the U.S. operation is "going quite well." He had previously stated that he had "agreed to talk" with Iranian officials, but also warned that attacks would continue as long as Tehran does not meet Washington's demands.

"THE FACILITY ON HARK ISLAND IS OUT OF SERVICE"

Talking about Hark Island, which is Iran's main oil export terminal, Trump stated that the facility is "out of service" but intentionally avoided hitting the oil pipelines; he emphasized that rebuilding such infrastructure would take years. "We didn't even get close," Trump said, expressing that he would strike the island again if necessary.

"I LEFT INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES IN TEHRAN INTENTIONALLY"

U.S. President Donald Trump said, "I left many infrastructure facilities in Tehran standing because if I had destroyed them, it would take years to rebuild. I could have taken out the power plants in an hour, and that would have been a major trauma. That's why I'm trying to avoid such things."

When asked when oil prices would drop, Trump said he expects the relief to happen "as soon as the war ends" and does not believe it will "take a long time."

U.S.-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

Israel and the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between Tehran and Washington. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel.

In the U.S.-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed. According to Iranian officials, the death toll from the U.S.-Israel attacks exceeded 1,348, and the number of injured surpassed 17,000.
