Benchmark index drops 93.43 points at opening session.
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 9,431.16 points, down 0.98%, or 93.43 points, from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 0.6% to close at 9,524.59 points, with a daily trading volume of 85 billion liras ($2.61 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.5981 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.7963, while a British pound traded for 40.5367 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $88.18 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,405.55. -
