The top diplomats of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Algeria held talks Sunday on bilateral relations and regional developments.
UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan met in Abu Dhabi with his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra, who arrived in the Gulf state on Saturday.
Both ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern and ways of boosting bilateral cooperation, the Emirati Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The discussions also touched on Algeria's participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai, the statement said.
On Saturday, Lamamra met with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the UAE deputy prime minister and minister of presidential affairs, during which he conveyed a message from Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on relations between the two countries.
