MURDER CONFESSED: "I ASKED HIM TO BRING EMRE TO ME"

The indictment included the statement of murder suspect Hamit Aydoğdu. In his statement, Aydoğdu confessed to the murder, stating that his uncle Veysel Bulut was murdered in 2022, and said, "Emre's father and uncles held me responsible for my uncle's death and falsely accused me. I know Fırat because he works at Meyse's workplace. I contacted Fırat through Meyse and asked him to bring Emre to me. For this reason, Fırat went to Emre's farm under the pretext of buying a sacrificial animal. On the day of the incident, I contacted Fırat and directed him to the market in Boğaziçi where Emre was. After parking the vehicle in front of the market, I got into the back seat and, directing Fırat, we went to the scene in the vehicle. I called the sergeant and held the shotgun to Emre's chin to make him tell the truth. When Emre swung the knife he had at me, I fired the shotgun in a moment of reflex," he said.

MET TO "ORDER ICE CREAM" AND LED TO DEATH

Fırat Şavkılı, who was in the car during the incident, stated in his testimony that he did not know Hamit Aydoğdu and that Meyse Yanar had asked him to befriend Emre Bulut under the pretext of buying a sacrificial animal a few months before the incident to gain his trust.

Şavkılı said, "About a month ago, I went to Emre Bulut's farm following Meyse's directions and bought a sacrificial animal with the money Meyse gave me. Emre did not take any money from me for the sacrifice. Meyse took this opportunity and asked me to suggest to Emre that I would treat him to something sweet, like ice cream. Two days before the incident, Meyse wanted us to meet at a pastry shop on the Kayseri road with Emre and then asked me to go to the market in Boğaziçi under some pretext. On the day of the incident, I went with Emre to the place Meyse described. I parked the vehicle in front of the market and went into the market alone, informing Meyse via WhatsApp. When I got back into the car, I saw Hamit, whom I did not know before, sitting in the back seat with a shotgun. Following Hamit's directions, we went to the scene. Hamit fired a shot at Emre Bulut's head. I tried to run away, but Hamit came to me and assaulted me with the shotgun and kicks. I then managed to escape from him, and Hamit fired a shot at me from behind," he said.

"I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE MURDER"

Meyse Yanar also stated in her testimony that she had no knowledge of the murder and that she did everything under threat and violence. On the day of the incident, she mentioned that Hamit called her and asked to be picked up from Ağcalı hill, saying, "I went to Ağcalı hill with my car and picked up Hamit. When Hamit took out the shotgun from his bag and pointed it at me, I started driving in fear. He then got out of the vehicle and ran into the forested area. He occasionally contacted me and said, 'If you tell the police, I will burn you too.' I had no knowledge of the murder. I did everything under threat and violence," she said.

"THEY CARRIED IT OUT WITH COLD-BLOODED PREMEDITATION"

The other suspects denied the accusations. In the indictment, it was stated that Hamit Aydoğdu claimed that Emre Bulut had swung a knife at him, but neither a knife was found at the scene nor on Bulut, and that the suspects knowingly and willingly fulfilled their roles, and that the crime was not committed as a result of a sudden development but was carried out with cold-blooded premeditation.
