A 70-year-old man lost his life after being hit by an unlicensed driver in the Arifiye district of Sakarya. The driver was taken into custody by the police teams.
A 70-year-old man trying to cross the road about 20 meters away from the overpass on the D-100 highway in Sakarya's Arifiye district lost his life after being hit by a car driven by a driver who allegedly did not have a license.
The accident occurred near the Düzce direction in the Arifbey neighborhood, approximately 20 meters from the overpass. According to the information obtained, a car driven by M.E.Y. (21), who is alleged to be unlicensed, hit Hasan Şahin (70) as he was trying to cross the road.
UNLICENSED DRIVER STRUCK
Upon notification of the situation, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. The medical teams that arrived at the scene determined that Şahin had lost his life.
After the examination at the scene, the lifeless body of the elderly man was taken to the hospital morgue, while the driver was taken into custody. The hood of the car driven by the unlicensed driver was crushed like paper, revealing the severity of the accident.
