The new team of experienced goalkeeper Vozinha, who drew all attention with his performance in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has been made official.

VOZINHA'S NEW TEAM IS COLO-COLO

Colo-Colo, one of Chile's historic clubs, announced that they have added the 40-year-old goalkeeper to their squad. After completing his contract with Portuguese second division side Chaves, the experienced goalkeeper, who became a free agent and managed to be named in the 2026 World Cup's Best XI, will continue his career wearing the Colo-Colo jersey.

PRESIDENT MOSA: "NOT JUST A MARKETING MOVE"

Commenting after the completion of the transfer, Colo-Colo President Aníbal Mosa stated that they have reached a full agreement with the player's representatives and those around him, saying, "This move is not solely for advertising or marketing purposes. Vozinha had a great World Cup campaign and is completely ready physically and sportingly. Additionally, his global recognition will help us increase our club's international visibility."

COACH ORTIZ: "HE WILL COMPETE FOR THE JERSEY"

Colo-Colo Technical Director Fernando Ortiz, however, mentioned that he did not play an active role in the transfer process, saying, "I was not involved in the negotiations; that is not my area of responsibility. But one thing I know is that Vozinha, like every other player on the team, will compete to earn the jersey."
