Every year, millions of products in Turkey are saved from becoming waste thanks to recycling. This recycling effort, which has a significant contribution to both the environment and the economy, is now taking a new step. Deposit machines will be installed across Turkey as part of the zero waste project. As part of the efforts that will be carried out for a year, all cities and districts will have access to deposit machines. Speaking at the 'Deposit Field Management System Protocol Signing Ceremony' held in Ankara, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated that the system will first be implemented in Sakarya and then expanded. Minister Kurum announced that "packaging will no longer cause environmental pollution on the streets, beaches, and parks," and stated that deposit refund machines will be established in all provinces and districts by 2025. Minister Kurum expressed that a new step has been taken for more effective evaluation of waste packaging.
