Our national basketball player Alperen Şengün has been selected for the NBA All-Star. Şengün became the first Turkish basketball player to be chosen for the NBA All-Star after Mehmet Okur, 17 years later. After a successful season with Beşiktaş, Şengün, who stepped into the NBA at just 22 years old, managed to be selected as an All-Star in his fourth season in the NBA, where he was drafted in 2021 as the 16th pick in the first round.

FIRST TIME IN 17 YEARS
Alperen Şengün became the first Turkish basketball player selected for the NBA All-Star after Mehmet Okur, 17 years later. After a fantastic season at Beşiktaş, Alperen Şengün stepped into the NBA at the age of 19 and, at just 22 years old, managed to be selected as an All-Star in his 4th season in the NBA, where he was drafted 16th overall in the first round in 2021.

WHEN IS THE ALL-STAR?
