These black dots, known as "frit band," located at the edges of the glass, are actually a ceramic-based paint applied with heat. It is nearly impossible to scrape this special coating off the glass. This band, located at the upper middle part of the windshields and at the edges of the side windows of modern vehicles, serves multiple important functions simultaneously.

One of the most important tasks of the frit band is to protect the adhesive material between the glass and the vehicle from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. At the same time, it contributes to the vehicle's insulation by preventing rainwater from seeping inside. While this band helps the glass adhere more securely to the vehicle body, it also reduces the negative impact of sunlight on the driver's visibility.
