TUSAŞ is preparing to deliver ANKA-S unmanned aerial vehicles to the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) by October 2025. These UAVs will be deployed to the 52nd Air Squadron at Raden Sadjad Air Force Base in Natuna, Indonesia, to replace the Chinese-made CH-4. REPLACING CHINESE-MADE CH-4 PLATFORMSIndonesia continues to invest in UAVs to enhance its beyond-visual-range (BVR) air combat capabilities. Indonesian Air Marshal Mohammad Tonny Harjono stated that Turkish-made UAVs are compatible with Indonesia's technology-focused military concept. DIFFERENT ANKA MODELS DEVELOPED ACCORDING TO NEEDSTUSAŞ has developed the ANKA UAV in four different models according to various needs: ANKA-A, ANKA-B, ANKA-S, and ANKA-I. These UAVs have been effectively used in various operations by the Turkish Armed Forces, MIT, police, and gendarmerie. Additionally, they have provided significant functionality in disaster situations. By 2024, a total of 140 ANKA units are targeted for production, and the export process is ongoing in countries such as Tunisia, Kazakhstan, and Malaysia.
