In the Eskipazar district of Karabük, a citizen recorded a viper he encountered while picking mushrooms with his mobile phone camera.

Osman Başkaya, who went to the forested area of Başpınar village, which is connected to the district, noticed a snake suddenly appear in front of him while collecting mushrooms. After a brief moment of panic, Başkaya realized that the snake he carefully examined was of the viper species. He recorded those moments with his mobile phone camera and stated that the snake moved away into the forested area with slow movements.

IT PARALYZES ITS PREY

It is known that the vipers, which are commonly found in Turkey, live in mountainous, rocky, and forested areas. These snake species, recognized by their short and thick bodies, have dark zigzag patterns on their backs. Vipers, which have their venomous fangs located at the front, incapacitate their prey by paralyzing them.
