White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated that the claims regarding the COVID-19 virus leaking from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, are a "verified fact." During his first term, U.S. President Donald Trump argued that the virus originated from a laboratory in Wuhan and spread to the entire world. Beijing, however, has denied these claims.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt answered questions from reporters regarding current topics during a press briefing.
"THE COVID-19 VIRUS LEAKED FROM LABORATORIES IN WUHAN"
Leavitt evaluated the recent statement from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that the COVID-19 virus originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. The White House Press Secretary stated, "(CIA Director) John Ratcliffe deserves congratulations for revealing this truth to the American people. The (Joe) Biden administration had the opportunity to disclose the facts to the American people on this issue, but for some reason, they chose not to. We now know that this is a confirmed fact. It took many years for this to come to light, but President (Donald Trump) was right about this."
