Will civil servants and retirees receive a welfare share?

03.01.2025 10:35

One of the most anticipated topics regarding civil servant and pensioner salaries for the year 2025 is the rate of increase, while the other is the welfare share. Prof. Dr. Ferhat Pehlivanoğlu evaluated the potential welfare share for civil servant and pensioner salaries in 2025 with presenter Abdurrahman Yazıcı on Haberler.com. The expert stated that if a budget is created, a welfare share should be provided to all retirees and civil servants.

After the announcement of the inflation figures for December, the focus has now shifted to the potential welfare share for civil servants and retirees for the year 2025. We asked an expert about the welfare share that millions of civil servants and retirees are looking forward to due to high inflation.

Prof. Dr. Ferhat Pehlivanoğlu, a faculty member at Kocaeli University, was the guest of presenter Abdurrahman Yazıcı on Haberler.com. When Yazıcı asked, "Will civil servants and retirees receive a welfare share?" Prof. Dr. Pehlivanoğlu pointed to the budget. The expert stated that the welfare share is necessary for civil servants and retirees and continued his speech as follows:

The welfare share is an additional payment given to employees who are suffering due to fluctuations in the exchange rate and the increase in prices and inflation, despite receiving raises according to the inflation rate. It means that employees receive a larger share of economic growth. If sufficient resources are provided, it should certainly be implemented. The welfare share should be given to all retirees and civil servants.
