President Erdoğan, in accordance with the 16th paragraph of Article 104 of the Constitution, has lifted the remaining sentences of 81-year-old Kerim Boran and 54-year-old Naci Kılıç. Kerim Boran's sentence was lifted due to his chronic illness and old age, while Naci Kılıç's sentence was lifted due to his disability.
With the signature of President Erdoğan, in accordance with the 16th paragraph of Article 104 of the Constitution, the remaining sentence of 81-year-old Kerim Boran has been lifted due to chronic illness and old age; the remaining sentence of 54-year-old Naci Kılıç has also been lifted due to disability. The presidential decisions regarding the lifting of the remaining sentences of the two convicts were published in the Official Gazette.
HE WAS CONVICTED OF SERIOUS CRIMES
Accordingly, in accordance with the 16th paragraph of Article 104 of the Constitution, President Erdoğan lifted the remaining sentence of Kerim Boran, who was convicted of serious crimes such as membership in an armed terrorist organization, disrupting the unity of the state and the integrity of the country, depriving a person of their liberty, attempting to commit robbery for the benefit of a criminal organization, robbery, and threatening with a weapon, based on the report of the Forensic Medicine Institution due to chronic illness and old age.
Erdoğan also lifted the remaining sentence of 54-year-old Naci Kılıç, who had various prison and monetary sentences for numerous crimes including threatening with a weapon, intentional injury, possession of an unlicensed firearm, establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime, armed robbery for the benefit of a criminal organization, providing a place for gambling, and attempted murder, due to disability as determined by the Forensic Medicine Institution.
